Zoloft causing visual problems?

I started Zoloft 4 days ago and not only is it making my anxiety worse but it's also causing me vision problems. Like the other day in class my vision got foggy and nothing felt real and it only lasted for like a few seconds. That's happened a few other times but now my eyes are more sensative to light. Last night I woke up in the middle of the night and every time I would fall back asleep I would wake up a second later feeling like nothing is real and the lights getting brighter. I only got 5 hours of sleep and my vision feels off today. Please what is happening? I know this sounds stupid but I'm afraid of going blind. Also my vision is a little more blurry.

Sometimes a particular antidepressant is too stimulating for someone suffering from anxiety.  Remember, these meds were developed for people suffering from depression, and many anxiety sufferers actually have anxiety that stems from depression -- when someone is depressed, a down disorder, they need an up, but anxiety is an up disorder that needs a down.  Now, this may go away -- the med hasn't started to work yet, that'll probably take 4-6 weeks to find out -- but side effects start immediately as your body fights off this foreign substance.  Your vision sounds like a vascular thing, like a migraine, and could also be a side effect.  Your choice is to tolerate it until you learn whether the benefits outweigh the negatives or stop it and try a different med. or a different strategy.
