Zoloft poop out or alcohol side effects?

I have been taking 50 mg. of Zoloft for a little over a year for anxiety. I was feeling much better and pretty good until this morning. I woke up with  severe anxiety and feeling crazy again just like I did when I had started the Zoloft (I had some start up anxiety). I have been drinking about two glasses of wine per night... Sometimes more than that. Am I becoming tolerant of Zoloft or could it be cumulative effects from the alcohol? Please help.

It does not take a medical genius to figure out that mixing two mood altering drugs (zoloft and alcohol) could be a dangerous combo.
This combo could have an effect on the addiction center of the brain.
If I were you I would ditch the vino.
The worse symptom for me would be sexual dysfunction AND a headache!
Do you get such symptoms?
Would it be easy for you to quit the wine? If not, perhaps it may have already affected the addiction center in  your brain, however, you can look into Naltrexone to help you with this.
Cheers,
Niko

My own experience with Zoloft was pretty much the same. 50 mg for a year or more. I had to up it to 75 which by all accounts is a really low dose for zoloft. The highest I went was 100 mg which I believe is still a lower as you can go up to 200mg per day. That is what my doctor told me, but I am not a pharmacist.
Perhaps you need to go back to your doctor. As far as alcohol effects, I am not sure but I would think that could effect you as well. I am not much of a drinker, but I did as you would say tie one on occasionally and for me yes the day after I felt more than usual anxiety. I guess the only way you will know is to stop having your wine and see what happens.
