I have felt the same way for years. I've had more cardiac testing than an average person, and still get the pain, palpitations, etc. I too am very afraid of heart attacks and it's just a vicious circle sometimes! BUT...I have to believe the testing and rest in the Lord and be courageous. I do not want to let this anxiety steal the joy I could experience while I am alive!!

Hang in there and choose joy!

I recently joined this program (http://www.womentowomen.com/) and received my materials yesterday.  Check out the website and take quiz to see where you fall.  I was severe.  I spoke to a nurse counselor on the phone and I feel very confident this is going to help me.  I believe most of my issues are from hormonal inbalances.  Plus everything they offer has a complete money back guarantee so I feel I have nothing to lose.  The site offers a bunch of testimonials which fit my situation perfectly.  I am 39 years old with my children (8 and 6) and work a full time job.  Stress to the max!

I know how frightening they are. But, I guess it's part of the package we get with anxiety. At least you have been to a dr. and had test's to tell if there was anything wrong.  Now, it's getting it through our brain that there is nothing wrong. I know it's hard, believe me.  I also believe that if we do eat right and excerise and just doing what we can to reduce our stress level that these thing's began to ease after time.  Doing thing's you enjoy to get your mind off them.

Good Luck and stay in touch.

I can sympathize with you.  I truly believe I am a hypocondriac (not saying you are).  I also get chest pains (right in the middle).  I too have had ECGs which are normal.  I truly always think something is wrong.  Sometimes I take ibuprophen and it goes away like maybe is is muscle pain.  I also have a lot of stress, some anxiety and sometimes depression.  Depending on my stress level, the pain is worse.

For me, I really believe it is stress and being overweight.  I know if I exercised and ate better, it would reduce my stress and the pains would go away.  I do know it is very scary.  Hang in there!
