I am a 39 yrold female. I have anxiety and often obsess about illnesses. I have difficulty sleeping. I have bouts of agitation and depression. It seems to cycle and have some relation to my monthly cycle and hormones. I have been prescribed zoloft by one provider and lexapro by another. Whichdoyou think would work best for my symptoms? I worry about taking medicine and can be sensitive to sideeffects. Thanks

I'm wondering as to which medicine you decided to take.  I am like you as far as taking medications because I am sensitive to side effects.   I decided to go with Lexapro.  My doctor really seems to like this medicine.  I have been on it for two days.  I was told it could take about a week or so and I should start to feel better from my anxiety and any side effects.  So far I have experience some drowsiness and lightheadness.   Thanks.

you need to google them see all the side affects not that you will have all of them. my sister and a few friends take zoloft they like it ,a few other friends take lexapro so up to you . try one for a month if you dont like it try the other one . good luck to you .
