Hello, i just read your post, you poor thing. I was just recently diagnosed with GAD (general anxiety disorder) I've been struggling with is since end of May, I've lost weight and all. I've been too many many docs, and it's all anxiety. So, I went to an Internal Med doc today (best advice yet), and she said many people struggle with anxiety, depression, etc, due to the lack of Magnesium. If your mom goes to a all natural food store, home health store, in that range, she needs to pick up Mag. tablets or powder (make sure it contains NO OXCIDE!). She needs to take 2-3 capsules or 2-3 tbsp mixed with water or shake every night BEFORE bed, it literally makes you very tired and relaxed. It helps calm down the nervous system, helps a lot with heart palpitations, digestion, everything. The sooner she takes it the better she will feel. Some people it works immediately, some it takes a couple weeks. But I highly suggest she does this instead of meds, which some can worsen the anxiety. Google magnesium, there aren't any BAD effects at all, it helps with a lot of inner issues! Please tell her to try, she is probably at her wits end with this, I am and it's only been 2 months, but I guarantee it'll work! Also, tell her to purchase Panda's black licorice (all natural), it helps with stomach upset with a lot of other things, google that also. Eat 1-3 pieces a day, if you eat too much you will get water retention and/or very loose stools. Do some research, I wish you the best luck, take care of yourself as well!!
Is your Mom under a doctors care? If not you need to encourage her to get some help. You are a wonderful daughter to help her and to worry about her so much but don't forget to take care of yourself too. She needs to work with a professional to help her understand what is going on and how to deal with it. Please make sure you are getting some balance in your life too. It is way too easy to get caught up in the health issues of people we love and get overwhelmed by them.
I will keep good thoughts for you.....
first things first my heart goes out to you it is scary to watch someone you love go through theses horrible things, but most importantly your mother will never die from this, when she has these attacks she needs to breath into a paper bag to control her breathing.Isnt there anyone else who can help you with this?
Hi Anxiety is one horrible thing and i feel for you as young as you are to see it but what i try and do is get a paper bag and blow in and out to calm myself down has your mother tried this.Do your Mother have anxiety continuosly such as every day or do something start it off? A good friend told me to come on this site and they use it for their anxiety to and they say since they have been on here its calmed their anxiety right down because he aint the only 1 in the World going through it can you introduce your Mum to the site it might help her to speak to others on here who is suffering the same symptons and they would do their best in helping her with advice as we are all in the same situation thats we all are looking for new ideas how to help us or others close to us i wish you luck and hope everything turns out for the best for your Mother and yourself.
