coast guard?

I have been interested in the coast guard for quite some time and was worried about a past health condition. I was diagnosed with an anxiety problem(he never said the word disorder), by my physician after 1 year and a half and was placed on Zoloft and trazadone for sleep. I was only on Zoloft for two months and decided to go completely off meds since. I want to join the coast guard but was worried that my panic attacks would stand in my way. I haven't had an attack in close to six months and feel anxiety free. I am currently med free and have been 2 months. can I enlist? how long do I have to be med free?

yeah, the only thing I saw on the website was that there was potential for a waiver but I think you are right about the year. at least I hope so because waiting a year is not nearly as bad as not being allowed to join. The thing is I feel the coast guard is the best fit, I don't really want to do anything else.

Really something you should look up on the coast guard website. I thought I remember reading something about being off all medication For a full year.

I also looked into it, but realized it wasn't for me
