It all started after I had my first panic attack and since then it has not gone away.. I just want to know if I'm not the only one with this problem

Ok, well beta-blockers both lower your heart rate and blood pressure.  So maybe your having low BP issues.  It shouldnt be a constant awareness. When your BP is low or is diverting blood to the brain to act in a crisis, such as in a panic attack, the heart has to pump even harder for the blood to reach the brain and it is this that can cause the sensation.
What you need to do is tomorrow morning make an appointment with your doc and explain what is happening and get your BP monitored.  Maybe your on too high a dose or the medication needs to be changed.
Until then try not to become overly anxious about it, just take things easy.

Thanks everybody.... and Yes Julie, it is constantly... i feel it more if i'm anxious, when i stand up, walk or after eating some things. The over awareness drives me nuts sometimes.. Also yes I am on medication (beta blocker).. Sometimes i may even have a pulse of 70 and i can still feel my heartbeat in my throat. They cant find anything wrong and all say it's due to anxiety.. just wanted to know if i was not alone on this one. I also haven't been getting as much panic attacks as I used to... Sometimes I even had up to 3 panic attacks in one day... but now its like every once in a while... and i noticed the heartbeat feeling in my throat has lightened up a lil bit cause it was much worst... I'm guessin maybe because my panic attack episodes have reduced? idk... either way Thanks guys :)

Is it there constantly or only when your feeling anxious or panicking?  It is normal during anxiety or panic attacks as your adrenaline is pumping which of course increases your blood flow and heart rate causing that classic feeling.  It can also occur due to postral changes, like from laying down to standing up, and that is due to blood pressure changes.

Just make a note of when they occur and also it may be a good idea just to pop along to the doc and let them know your having these panic attacks and they will hopefully discuss an action plan with you, maybe refer you to a therapist, maybe give you some medication, probably both.

Good-luck and let us knw what you decide to do.
