I have felt the exact same way before. It is common to feel unreal and also to think you're going crazy with panic and anxiety. It is happening because your thinking too much and not focusing on life. Dissassociation can also happen when you feel too overwhelmed...your brain shuts some of its functions done to protect itself. You can get through this by understanding and learning coping techniques. I reccommend a book called "Hope and Help for your Nerves" by Dr Claire Weekes. It has saved many lives and has been my stepping stone to recovery.

I concur with kellisue's advice above.  Everything you describe is totally typical with anxiety and panic.  I know it's very hard, but try as hard as you can NOT to focus on how you're feeling.  Try to stay as busy as you can, try to maintain as normal a life as possible.  Believe me, I know that's not easy to do when you're feeling so horribly, and those feelings ARE very scary.

When is your appointment?  Who is the appt with, your doctor?  A therapist?  Can you try to call and ask about having the appointment moved up a bit?  Most doctor's offices will have a cancellation list that if you get put on it, they will call you if they have a cancellation.  If your appt is with a therapist, then why not call your doctor in the meantime, and see if there's something he/she can do for you in the meantime?  If you're having a lot of anxiety and panic, there are medications they could give you for a short period of time to help you get some relief while you're waiting for this process to start.

I promise you that you're not crazy, nothing bad will happen.  Thinking of you, please keep in touch!

Those are perfect normal anxiety symptoms. If possible, which I know is easier said then done, try and think happy positive thoughts, listen to your breathing, focus on it, inhale through the nose, exhale through the mouth, focus on it. With each breathe inhale a positive thought and exhale a negative. I would suggest visiting with your doctor. Medicines can help you get back on track, you dont have to stay on them, but just to help get things going in the right direction again. You are experiencing what many of us have. You are ok.
