Advice!!!

Hello again. I need some advice please.
Earlier on today i took myself to hospital because i was experiencing intence fear!! It was awfull, i couldnt keep still and was sure there was something in my head. Anyway, the doctor at ER told me that i was probably having side effects from the Beta Blockers i am on, he said not too take any more!! So today i havent had one but now my heart is pounding, i have an awfull headache and my blood pressure is high. What should i do now? Should i take a Diazipam? Has anyone else had side effects from beta blockers?
Thanks for your help

i been on betas for 5 yrs ish i had no side effects but everyones different im trying come off them i was on 120mg per day now i take 60 mg, im the same i rely on them cause they stop heart attacks... well not stop them but prevent them, my doc told me to not just come off them but just keep reducing the dose.
i think maybe your getting the palps, racing heart etc cause you aint taking them no more and you know they prevent heart things. like remar said chat with your doctor and take his/her advice but dont worry

i agree with the above posts. you should taper off the beta blockers. call you pharmacy and ask if you can take these two meds together. you need to see your dr. tomorrow if possible. he will help you with the taper. take care. Remar

Well its day number 2 of going "cold turkey" without the beta blockers, so far im not too bad, some heart palpitations, trembling, weakness and headrushes. But im still alive so im gonna keep going.
I was on beta blockers for 2 months, but apparently they can cause psychosis wich i think is what's happened, im not sure though.

How long had you been on beta bockers? there not a drug you just stop taking, beta blokers are often given to slow the heart palps down as well as the blood pressure, your anxiety could be the reason foe the increase in blood presure but you must get this checked out. but the palps will be because of the abrut withdrawel of meds, but get the blood pressure checked.

Is this the type of situation your Dr. has prescribed the diazapam for? Have you tried some breathing techniques?
