is anyone's anxiety like this

When i'm having an attack it's usually a feeling of nausea, lightheaded/dizzy and jittery feeling. Sometimes it comes and goes every few minutes and varies in intensity and the whole thing sometimes lasts for hours. Also on occasion i'll have other phantom symptoms like i felt like i was geting sick a few times, like the flu/cold and then it's gone a little while later. So how do you know when things are real or when it's the anxiety? Worst of all, i used to smoke weed and it felt great, really relaxing but now i can't enjoy it anymore it seems to bring on anxiety now :-< makes me all jittery and paranoid. It's the story of my life, anything i like i can't have or only for a limited time

Thanks, i've tried most of your suggestions except swimming because i can't. I usually only have 2 cups of coffee a day. I tried fish oil but only for about a week, probly not long enough for results but it didn't seem to help and it gave me gas and a funny aftertaste. I took 1 theanine capsule but that seemed to make my head feel wierd so i didn't take any more. I do take a vitamin which says it has 100% b12 in it. I drink a little green tea also. I don't know, i don't think i'm ever going to be normal again. I don't have the patience for this, it started fast and all of a sudden so it should go away the same

Yeah, my anxiety is just like this.  My main symptom is nausea. To the point I cant move.  I also get jittery and light headed.  And similar to what you said, I also get cold/flu symptoms really bad and I could swear im getting the flu, but it goes away when my anxiety goes away.  I hate it because like you said, its very hard to know when your actually sick. I have a fear of vomitting, so when I get nausea from anxiety I never know if its the stomach bug or just anxiety.  I have the same symptoms for both things. Same with a cold/flu.  I guess you just start to pick up on little symptoms that are inconsistant with being sick and point more towards anxiety.  For me, when I realize my heart is racing...thats when I know its anxiety, not a sickness.  If my heart isnt racing I'm pretty safe to say its actually a sickess, since racing heart isnt a symptom of the common cold or flu. Just try and pick up little signs like that...its very frustrating, but good luck!

these are all typical anxiety symptoms. I suggested the following on another post you made.....                                                                           (1) Diet - eat at least 20 grams of protein per meal (eggs, almonds, walnuts, yogurt, turkey, tuna, etc); cut out all caffeine and sugar
(2) Exercise - swimming is the best
(3) Try passion Flower tincture and/or decaf green tea (theanine)
(4) Supplements - vit D, fish oil, vit B, etc
(5) read about amino therapy - 5HTP, tryptophan, etc
