It is unusual for someone to pass out simply because of anxiety. There are two things here: passive anxiety which is always buzzing in and around your head and an anxiety attack.
Anxiety attack usually starts with feeling highly anxious, which then translates into a very high pulse and BP. And then, may be pass out.
If you weren't having a anxiety attack and if you alos suffer from any other health issues like fatigue, you might want to consider any other medical condition. I am saying this because this has happened to me too, and not just once, multiple times. First time it happened I CALLED 991!!!
Though they just gave some xanax and sent me away. 1.5 years later (now), after an infinite number of visits to doctor, I have found that I probably have a medical condition.
I talked to my Dr. and she took me off the Zoloft and just gave me Xanax to take when I need it. She ran some test for iron and thyroid. So when I get the results I will let you know. I have been keeping myself busy with school and working so I don't have time to think about anxiety.
Good job. In the meantime, make sure you're eating and drinking, and if you have anymore issues, definitely call your doctor or head to the ER. I'll be anxious to hear how it goes Monday, let us know!
I made an appointment for Monday.
Hello again, I'm sorry to hear about your episode this morning!
Have you called your doctor? You should really be seen by your doctor. While anxiety can cause all kinds of symptoms, it rarely causes a person to actually faint. People may FEEL faint, dizzy, etc, but an actual syncopal episode caused by anxiety alone is not common.
I'm willing to bet there was an underlying physiological cause. Have you been eating/drinking well? If not, you could be slightly dehydrated, could have been low blood glucose, all kinds of things.
I recommend making an appointment with your doctor to rule out some of the more common possibilities, medically. Keep us updated!
