Ahhh the collapsing and dying symptom.  Yes, I've had it too during my worst fights with anxiety.

I don't have severe anxiety symptoms like this anymore but I used to have those exact feelings.  I was waiting tables at work and I felt like I was going to just faint.  I got SO CLOSE to walking up to my manager and saying "I have to go home."

BUT...I realized it was anxiety and told myself to straighten up and I never fainted.  These feelings did come back on other occasions but its ANXIETY.  I am just 22 years old and I never could have imagined how much anxiety can really do to your mind.  Your mind and your body are closely linked which is the explanation for the physical symptoms.

your symptoms are the exact same as mine except the twitching/muscle spasms...my dizzy feeling and lighthead feeling does not let up. i wake up with it , it lasts all day and i go to bed with it. i feel like im living in a fog and that i could pass out at any second. its horrible. i quit my jobs because i am too scared that i am going to pass out there. now i have developed agoraphobia and its terrible. keep me posted   please

Hi Base,

In answer to your question, oh yes anxiety can and does do this to people, it can make you think up all kinds of weird things in your head, it can make you feel that your body is in real danger, when no REAL danger actually exists!!! so yes anxiety is that powerful, if you let it be.

Considering you've already been to the doc and the ER and had all of these tests done, and they all must have come back normal (Im just guessing), means that you are FINE and need to realise this. Anxiety is so powerful that it actually has the ability to take over someones life, and this is where talk therapy comes in, you did not mention are you actually seeing a counsellor at the moment or not??? because if you are not, I would suggest that you do pronto, as this will benefit you hugely. Also look at other areas in your lifestyle that you may want to change or alter, as in your diet, your sleeping pattern, and most of all your excercise plan and if you don't have one, make one.

You have certainly come to the right forum, as there are a lot of folk on here that will comfort, support and guide you to the best of their knowledge!!!

Keep in touch, and you will be just fine.

Are you being treated for the panic or anxiety attacks? If the doctors are sure that's the problem, it would be helpful if you could  get the anxiety under control, possibly with meds.  This would prove to you that it's anxiety and you wouldn't have to worry about all of the physical possibilities. Good luck.

I agree with you...I think you need a physical exam. Do you have an internist that you can see? I'd recommend it, just to be sure to rule out other causes of this. Don't put this off...

Good luck, and I hope that you can find the answers so you can solve your problem.
