OMG yes i get it all the time i hate it i have it almost everyday and yes it wakes me up during night too.Even though i already had a ct scan on my chest done and a breathing test done .I'm still not convinced sometimes like ur not getting enough air and i hated it where i have to tell myself to breath sometimes.ANXIETy is so strong it just takes over if u don't have control over it.Take care ur not alone.

This could be a side effect from your an anxiety, most defiantly. However, if you feel this is life threatening and it doesn't seem to get any better go to the ER and make a doctors appointment ASAP. Shallow breathing is not a good sign, but don't let that distract you from getting help if needed.

I am not a doctor. Therefore you should seek medical attention through a doctor or ER if you feel it is needed.

Best of luck,
