Constant knees and feet pain

I am a 46 years old male, quite fit.
I have had some back and feet pain in the past, I have mild scoliosis since a child, nothing severe, so I began to go to a chiropractic once in a while for the last 3 years and began also to wear custom made orthotics and very confortable shoes.

I exercise sort of quite regularly, I am not a gym freak but I bike, swim, walk and lift light weights.

Since 5-6 months I began to feel stronger and stronger pain in my feet, my heels, my arch, my metatarsus, a bit my ankles, and slowly also my knees have become VERY sore, if I bend them too much (let's say if I sit on my heels) the pain is really strong when bending and when extending.

Every morning when I get up from the bed, the first steps are really VERY painful for my feet, and also if I sit even for a little time, my feet AND knees are very sore after I stand up, especially for the first couple of minutes.
Especially my right heel for the past 2-3 weeks is very painful if I touch it or when I walk on hard surface (which of course I try to avoid completely).

Five days ago suddendly without any apparent reason I had a tremendous shooting pain inside my right knee which lasted a good 3-4 minutes, slowly went away but left me sore and quite scared...

I have been living with this constant pain for the last 3 months now every single day, and doesn't go away ever.
Of course if I am sitted or standing and still it doesn't hurt, unless I bend my knees too much or arch my feet.

I keep biking and stretching almost everyday, that doesn't hurt at all when I do it.

I don't have Health insurance, but of course I want to take care of this problem somehow, I am beginning to be quite worried.
I did a complete blood test 3 months ago and everything is ok. I didn't do any specific test for rheumas or anything like that though.

Please please HELP!

Stefano, a man in constant pain.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
At this time, some imaging of the knee needs to be done.  An MRI can detect any ligament tears, and plain films can determine if osteoarthritis or degenerative joint disease is present.

Regarding the heel pain - a referral to a podiatrist should be considered.  Plantar fasciitis and other ligament strains in the foot can lead to constant pain.  Injections or a course of anti-inflammatory medications may help.

If the knee pain continues, you can consider more invasive therapies like injections or possible orthopedic surgery.

These options should be discussed with your personal physician.

Followup with your personal physician is essential.

Hi Kevin, I also have the last two years exactly what you are talking about. They did xrays and found some arthritis in my feet and ankles, and the knee caps are totally gone.  I get injections in the knees and it takes the pain away for three months, putting off having the surgery.  The feet, I have bought some good shoes for support and that helped alittle. I can't walk on cement floors at all. I also, get injections in my ankles for the same reason. I can't excersize except walk in good times after the injections. It is very painful and when I get up it is like walking on nails.  I suggest you should see an orthapetic dr who specialists in these type of problems.  I will keep you in my prayers. Mandy

One of my friend's wife was suffering from acute Osteo Arthritis for last few years and was confined to bed, and was advised for Knee Replacement by Orthopedic Surgeon. She has taken Aloe Vera for 4 - 5 months and the cartilages have developed in her knees and she has been cured. Now she does not need Knee Replacement.

Aloe Vera can be of great help in the treatment of Osteo Arthritis and Rheumatoid Arthritis
Osteo Arthritis is caused by wear and tear of the large weight bearing joints, such as the knees, ankles and hips.  It also occurs quicker in the highly mobile joints of the cervical and lumbar spine as well as the shoulder girdle.  The lubrication and ease of movement of these joints are maintained by synovial fluid within the joint and the healthiness of the cartilage which surrounds the interface of the bones at the joint.  With age and over use, the synovial fluid shrinks and cartilage undergoes wear and tear, eventually causing bone to grind against bone.  This causes pain and poor mobility.
Rheumatoid Arthritis is caused by auto anti-bodies which are produced by our own immune system.  These anti-bodies attack the synovial lining of the joints and cause destruction of the synovial membrane and cartilage.  This results in inflammation which is characterised by pain, swelling, heat and redness.  The condition can affect any age group.  Immunologically induced arthritis can also be part of other systemic illnesses such as Lupus (SLE), Scleroderma, etc.

How Aloe Vera Works
In Acute, Painful and Swollen Joints
Acutely inflamed swollen joints caused by Rheumatoid Arthritis or trauma respond very well to ingestion of Aloe Vera Juice, as well as topical application of Aloe Vera Cream or jelly on the affected joints.
Aloe Vera contains anti-inflammatory agents such as Bradykininase, salicylates, natural steroids called phyto-steroids and vitamins A,B,C and E which act as powerful anti-oxidants.  They act by mopping up high speed super oxides produced during the process of inflammation.  Aloe Vera is also high in mineral content; these are needed for enzyme reactions in the joint and allow the joint to heal quicker.

Chronic Arthritis
Osteo Arthritis and long standing Rheumatoid Arthritis eventually result in deformation of the joint and loss of function. Marked improvements can be made with Aloe Vera if taken on a regular basis.  Aloe Vera contains high levels of glucosamine which is required for cartilage formation.
The anti-inflammatory effects of Aloe Vera relieve sore and inflamed joints.  The lignin content in Aloe Vera allows for deep penetration through the skin.  Orthodox medicines can help but have their own side effects. Aloe Vera has no side effects.
