Foot surgery

Is there a good surgery for arthritis in the joints just below the ankle?  I've had 2 opinions...both different, neither good. Also want to hear from people who've been helped by certain shoes.  Thanks.

I have arthritis in almost every joint in my body.  I also suffer from plantar fasciaitis - a condition in the tendon in the bottom of your foot.  I can tell you that I have been helped by wearing shoes likes those by birkenstock and dansko.  I am not sure about the surgery.  What are the 2 opinions you have received?  What benefit is surgery suppose to provide and what condition is it to correct?  How is the arthritis in your feet currently impacting your life?  Do you have any other health conditions like diabetes that should be considered?

Hello and welcome to the Arthritis Forum!
I really don't have an answer for you here, but wanted topost and keep your question near the top for you. It has slowed down around here with the holidays, but someone with experience in this should post a reply.
