It's not at all unusual to have more than one auto-immune disease at a time. I know many people with dual or even triple diagnoses - RA and lupus, lupus and PsA, RA and fibromyalgia, etc. Whatever the diagnosis, though, the treatment for RA, PsA and lupus are nearly identical. So what label you stick on it is less important than what meds work for you to make you feel better and slow down or halt the disease progression.

I am on this wonderful med that treats most auto-immune diseases. It is called Orencia! I have one of the top dr. In Canada and he is stumped with my disease, at first he called it PsA, and now it is RA, I am certin that I have both! But this medicine I am on now is great for me and I am able to return to my daily activities and I am thinking about going back to work!
