Trigger Finger Pain Relief?

I have trigger finger in both of my middle fingers. The one on my right hand is much worse than on my left. I cannot make a fist with it at all or else my finger gets stuck bad enough that I need to physically pry it back up. The pain on that hand is there 24/7. I have a surgical consultation coming up (splints and cortisone injections didn't work at all). But I was wondering if any one has found a way to relieve the pain until I see the surgeon
