pain related to anger?

i live in constant sever pain and cannot get medicine at this time. and it seems the worse my pain is the angrier i am. i yell at people for no reason, find myself actually hating people, and i mean real hate like i could just walk right up and punch them in the face and then laugh. i dont like to be angry but i'm getting real used to it and i think thats bad. i am almost positive its related to my pain because when i have taken pain pills i fell so happy and just love everyone, like i was when i was young, before all of this... does anyone have this same problem and how do you manage? i have gotten to the point of punching walls and screaming so hard my face hurts... i want to be more calm but in the life i live right now i just dont see how its possible, i dont go out much and dont have the opportunity to. i do have two beautiful toddler boys ages 2 and 3, and they make me happy at times... when they arent hurting me or destroying the house. any suggestions anyone? anything will help, thanks in advance

i have tried for script assistance i dont really need that cuz we have programs here that most scripts are 4$ no big deal. the thing is seeing a doc costs hundreds of dollars i dont have (and we dont eat out) (we dont even go to the grocery store) i dont have a doc right now that could even call in meds for me. but for you all to know i have e-mailed my governor about my situation and medicaid denying me, so the next day i got a call from medicaid, they sent me the app within that week and i am waiting for the call for the over the phone interview. this will take a few more weeks but i have waited a year n a half so a few more weeks wont kill me...i hope...lol ty all for your support and suggestions.

have you ever asked for samples?  if you join costco lorcet is only 20.00 a bottle i am sure you could afford that.  my son takes it and he gets the generic not brand almost the same.

Ask you doctor for a script and if there is a costco near you go there.  you have to go to doctor each month and blood work every three don't eat out and you can afford it.  35 dollars and you can join and then your scripts are cheap.

What you are saying is so severe, I don't know your situation as far as why you are not on medication but I agree with TX.  Depending on where you live there are RX assistance  programs available.  There is just no reason you should be suffering or punching walls.  Having 2 little ones can't make it any easier.   Can you speak with your Dr. about where to go for assistance.  It just insights me that in 2008 people have to go without the medications they need so badly.   I would try to Google "Prescription Assistance" and see what comes up.  I also agree with Tx, IF you can even for 15 or 20 min, a day, try and meditate.  When I was first dx I wanted to learn how to meditate and my brother gave me a great book, " Wherever you go there you are".  It is about mindful meditation in everyday life,   If the medhelp bleeps out the title l will PM you with it.  The author is Jon-Kabat-Zinn.   I wish you all the best.

I get testy when I am in pain.  It is an effort to not direct the anger and frustration at the people I love.  I found meditation helped some.  I also take "me" time.  Time I need to be left alone because I am hypersensitive.  That would be a tough one with young children, but it might be worth a try.  I am still reeling that you are not on any meds.  I am sure you are aware, but I have to ask, have you looked into the prescription assistance programs?  It just kills me that you are going through this with no meds and raising children.  I do not know how you do it.

thanks cindee my husband is the same way, he cares i know but he gets frustrated cuz i am ALWAYS hurting and he feels kinda left out i guess. AS can take over your life and loved ones feel that the disease gets more attention than them. but i know he loves me still so that helps. i have tried about 14 diff antidepressants and none have worked so far, that was back when i had insurance thou years ago. when i get back on it i will try again :)

Hi there!  I'm sorry you feel this way.  But pain makes you very crabby and impatient.  I know I get that way whe I don't feel good.  Also, my husband is not the most sympathetic, so that makes me angry because he's SUPPOSED to care!  He's my husband!  Maybe you feel alone and like you have no one who understands.  But we understand on this board because we are all in the same boat!

When you get insurance or money, you can try an anti-depressant.  It might help.  In the meantime, be sure you take a good multi-vitamin.  You could also try Sam-E or some other herb that is supposed to help with this.  I don't remember the name.  Maybe a pharmacist would be able to help.

Take time for yourself, have a cup of tea and relax.  Maybe put a video on for your boys.  By the way, taking care of two toddlers would make anyone stressed!  My son is 21 and when he's home, I get stressed because of the mess, his constantly wanting food (which I have to make), his friends all over the house, etc.  I can imagine with two little ones how much work you have to do!
