Pregnant or infection?

Please advice: I had a laproscopy done to remove an intramural fibroid of the size of 7cm removed from my uterus in the first week of May 2010 followed by two normal periods in May and June 15. I have a 28-30 days cycle. I know the doctor told me that i cant conceive so quickly cause my uterus wall will thicken after the surgery as time passes by, maybe when i get pregnant i would need a cesarean done.  Now i missed my period which was scheduled for July 15. Today is 18th.  Since last week i have brown spotting light cramping which has never happened in the past. Today I have an uneasy vomiting sensation.  I am waiting to do the pregnancy test before visiting the doctor but i want to wait to eliminate the chances of getting a negative.  But I am worried the uterus wall has been strengthened or not after the laproscopy.  I dont know if these are any signs of any infection if not pregnant. please help.

Hopefully the surgery will improve your chances of getting pregnant.  Stress can definitely change your cycle, so even though it is easier said than done, try to relax.  I wish you the best.

Thanks a lot Bridget for your reply.  As i got my period now i would only have to wait now till i get pregnant again. I was really stressed out during the last few weeks maybe that   would have caused the spotting and cycle to change. I hope I do not have any fertility issues due to my fibroid removal due to surgical scarring on my uterus. Thanks once again.

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

Your symptoms are not consistent with infection.   It is not unusual to have an irregular period every now and then.  However, given your history, this is a question best answered by your OB/GYN.  Good luck and I hope everything goes smoothly for you now and that you get that positive pregnancy test soon.
