Should I be worried...

Hey, I'm kinda new to this site so I'm not sure if I'm doing this right but anyways I'm 18 and I've been smoking for about 6 months (really bad habit and I'm wanting to quit but can't seem to stick to it) anyways I ended up getting a cold.. Stuffy nose and a cough... Well the cough has gone and so has the stuffy nose however when I go to laugh hard at a joke I'll start to cough or sometimes if I talk too much I'll have a bit of a wheeze in my voice which will make me cough... And when I cough it's really mucusy ... Should I be worried or what's happening? Please help

Thanks for using the forum.

I recommend that you ask your doctor. There is a chance that you have a bronchitis. This may be treatable with an antibiotic. However, I strongly recommend that you stop smoking. More than likely what you are experiencing is due to the damage that smoking does to your lungs and the linings of your respiratory tract.

Hope this helps.
