hard lump on labia

i have not been sexually active for about a month, and i couple of weeks ago i noticed a lump underskin on my outer labia . it never hurt, it was hard to the touch and it never really bothered me except the fact thats its there. i also used to shave all my pubic hair completely. but once i noticed the lump i quit shaving. its been about a month since i stopped shaving and its still there. now i noticed a little blood in my underwear and a red bump (sort-of like a head on a pimple , but red and tender) on top of the lump. what could it be? i cleaned it with anti - bacterial soap and put antibiotic ointment to try and keep it from getting infected. please help !!!!!

Hi and thanks for using the forum.

What you have described could be an ingrown hair since you have a history of shaving that area.  I would suggest trying some warm soaks to the area to see if you can soothe it and let it drain.  I would stop using antibacterial soap on it since that area is so sensitive and you could actually cause more problems (like a yeast infection).  If this does not work, then it would be time to see you GYN.  Good Luck.

I had the same things. It is a boil...Mine hurt bad as i dont know what so i had to go to the doctor to get mine drained. If it dont go down or bust on it's own make sure you go because it can get infected..

i had the exact same thing a few months ago. i ended up popping mine and drained it. the doctor told me it was a staph infection. has anyone used your razor besides you in the past? or maybe your soap, towel, wash rag, etc? thats what happened to me. u need to pop it no matter how bad its gonna hurt. it is infection that is in your pores. also try and get a antibiotic from your doctor to make it heal faster. hot compresses on it will soften it up to where you will be able to squeeze the pus out.
