Help with PFT results please!

I've had difficulty breathing for 7 months after a bout of bronchitis.  Here are my results...  Is this asthma, chronic bronchitis??  But my most important question is, could this possibly be EARLY emphysema??It also happened about two weeks after getting a cat..

As far as I know, yes .. they call it RAD or Reactive Airway Disease since something is causing it to trigger.  It's the same as asthma for the most part with symptoms, etc.  The shortness of breath may be caused by constant inflammation caused by the cat or allergy but I'm not a doctor.

Glad to help --

Cats can be quite allergenic causing RAD.  We didn't know until my cat passed away at age 20, that she was the trigger for my daughters chronic asthma!  today my daughter is 16 (the cat died when she was about 13) and she rarely needs her inhaler except for exercise and/or when ill.

I'm not sure on the #'s; maybe others can jump on in to help.

It takes months for the lungs to get back to normal after an attack.  There are many setbacks inbetween good times from what my daughter's have endured.

How are you doing?

Even if you give your cat to a friend, it takes a long time to rid the home of the dander so that may not even be a good test.

Maybe a good allergist can help .. one well versedin allergies and asthma.
