so we told his family the news yesterday and his mom's reaction was priceless! We put the ultrasound pic in her stocking and told her to open it after her other gifts. Well when she got to it, she stared dumb-founded at Andrew and was like "For real?" And when he said yes, she bolted over the presents across the living room and hugged/attacked me for about 5 minutes straight while crying, which made me cry lol It was awesome :D

Anyone else want to share their experiences of telling family the news on holidays?

This is off topic; but is anyone else annoyed with all the posts on the Pregnancy 18-34 forum about "am i preg? tell me if i am?" grrrr! i know they are worried/excited but geez! we cant tell them if they are or arent!

aww that seemed like a really great time. I love hearing about the fun ways people break the news. My cousin-in-law? told the news about her expecting her second, but dressing her daughter in a "Im going to be a big sister" t-shirt.

I told my in-laws on Christmas Eve (I couldn't wait until xmas to tell my parents).  My sister-in-law is only 13 and whenever she sees me she always says I want you to have a baby.  So I typed on a piece of paper "you are going to be an aunt" then I taped it inside a gift box and wrapped it up.  My husband gathered everyone together to watch her open this "special gift" from us.  Her face was priceless and when everyone realized what was happening there wasn't a dry eye in the house, for the ladies at least lol.  It was a memorable moment and I'm glad I didn't pass up the opportunity to share the news in a fun way even though I'm so early in my pregnancy (5 weeks)

i know right! like we all know how it felt when we were in that situation, but honestly- there is no pregnancy fairy that can fly down and magically tell you the answer. I can understand asking a different question instead of "am i preg?" like maybe ask "what did you experience when you found out you were preg?" but no. I guess just the amount of the same darn question gets to me :P

HAHA yes, that topic drives me crazy. Every hour it seems there are 5 new am i pregnant posts. I just want to post to all of them "yes, you are pregnant" as if i would have a clue any better then they would. However in my experience of TTC for two years I have found most people don't have a clue on how the process works when getting pregnant. Instead of educating themselves, I guess it's just easier to ask a question, to be told to pee on a stick and find out.
