I caution you in your efforts in obtaining a DAN dr. If you look at their website, they advertise such things as hyperbaric chambers, celation, and other treatments not validated by empirical evidence. In dealing with children with autism, it is important to look at methodologies supported by empirical evidence. For example, there is no empirical evidence to support the gf-cf diet. In fact, the NIH has recently published a study that revealed that boys with autism can have thin bones. The gf-cf diet can be DANGEROUS for boys with autism who have thin bones. My main point here is to look for methodologies supported by science that have shown effects that can be replicated in numerous studies in scientific research.
You can look up autism research institute:

They should have some information.
Personally I don't agree with their approach to defeat autism, but I do really like this page off one of their older sites:

I'd watch out about things like Chelatin treatment. Done the wrong way it can be fatal. I don't remember exactly, but I've heard there are two ways of doing it. One way is very bad and could cause death or severe organ damage. The other way is supposed to work as suggested, but it does rob the body of important vitamins as well. Either way, please make sure to not dive in without doing the research and testing. If you're suspecting mercury poisoning, make sure to have your child tested for mercury poisoning first. If it proves to be positive, then use your research to weigh out pros and cons.
i am interested in a DAN doctor for my son with autism, not sure where to start or what questions to ask????
Have you tried googling. I'm sure you can find a list. As far as specific doctors I don't know. I'm not into that kind of treatment.
