Fixed and Rigid Thinking/ autism spectrum

Does your child engage in fixed or rigid thinking as a symptom of their autism?  I'm interested in what other parents do for this.  It creates a lot of problems for my son.

Yes, seems to be a common thing with autistics.  I'm trying to help my son have a bit more flexible thinking on some things.  But it is challenging. Any ways you have found help with it?

I've been told that DBT is the best therapy for overcoming this.
