Unusual causes of widespread joint pain

I have widespread bilateral pain in elbows/hands/shoulders/ knees/ lowerback and now both insteps of my feet. I have essential thrombocythemia and reynauds. My gp said my inflammatory markers were fine??my right shoulder was particularly sore and stiff and X-ray showed a calcium deposit. Doctors are saying age related wear and tear ( I’m 54) my joints became painful overnight following a chest infection last year. Fed up feeling stiff and sore and off work.Has anybody got similar and been diagnosed with anything unusual?
