alopecia and other (skin) problems

Dear doctor, my boyfriend (40 years old) has alopecia areata that is spreading all over the body. He has seen many doctors, but no one can help. He has also other symptoms that can possibly be connected: he has approximately 10 bumps under his skin all over the body (like a hazel nut or a wallnut), it doesn't hurt him. The doctors aren't really interested, they say it is nor dangerous. He has also milia around his eyes.
He is also very tired all the time, he has big problems with impotency. When he is very tired, he always feels a pain in the area of  gall bladder (he has it removed a couple of years ago, but the pain remains). He has also diarrhea problems.
He has done the blood test several times, no special  result. He had a colonoscopy, gastroscopy; thyroid hormones are ok.
He has also problems with sleeping, restless legs, especially at night.
Do you know, what could possibly be wrong?
I apologize for my bad English, I am writing you from Slovenia. Best regards!

Hi Ladydobrila.
Welcome to the forum.
I am NOT a Doctor, but I'll do my best to help you.

It must be frustrating for both of you.
This might be kind of simple, but not easy.

One thing that  encompass all of his issues,
is Leaky Gut Syndrome, which can be caused by a number
of different things. One very common cause is a yeast/fungal overgrowth condition. Another one is wheat or gluten intolerance/sensitivity.
Leaky Gut Syndrome will lead to auto-immune response, consistent with many of his symptoms and is associated with RLS as well.

Gastroscopy and colonoscopy will miss this most of the time.
The test to get done is a urine test called the lactulose/mannitol test.

He needs to eliminate all sugars, grains, gluten, dairy from his diet.
Also he needs good quality prebiotics and probiotics and get the above test right away!
Can you get virgin coconut oil in Slovenia? That's an excellent anti-fungal remedy-better than any anti-fungal meds, with multiple health benefits.
Two tablespoons daily and build up to 4T in 4 weeks.

For reversing alopecia, have him try massaging a paste made from coconut oil mixed with sulfur powder, on the balding spots.
There may be a burning effect which means it's working. Discontinue or dilute further if he's very uncomfortable. When I treated  my alopecia with it, many years ago, I mixed it with saliva in my hand, made it into a paste and massaged all the spots many times a day. It did sting a little, but it worked within a week. Coconut oil is a bit better to use though, if you can buy it there.

Post Gall bladder removal pain symptoms are common.
He's likely suffering from "Sphincter of Oddi" dysfunction - a valve dysfunction, resulting in accumulation of bile and pancreatic fluid in the ducts after eating and causing discomfort and pain.
There's a simple procedure to correct this, called ERCP.

Steamed white chicken meat, fish, bananas, yogurt with active cultures
(the only dairy product allowed) should be the biggest part of his diet!
Avoid fried foods, spices and fats other than coconut oil, as I mentioned before. This will help with the diarrhea.

Impotency is related to his current symptoms and poor circulation.
He needs to boost his circulation, by being more active within his ability,
some exercise, but not too strenuous.
Mineral deficiencies have to be ruled out or corrected.
A tissue analysis for minerals is needed for this.
Mg deficiency is suspect.

Please let me know if you need more details. Post again, even if only to
give an update. You may pm me any time.
And your English is great, by the way! Considering it's a foreign language.
(It's the same for me-English is not my native tongue, even if I have lived in Canada for a number of years).
Take care!
Niko
