I might have Behcet's Disease- HELP!

Approximately two weeks ago, on May 9th, I woke up and discovered that I had vaginal ulcers. I spent most of the day in bed and my parents had to pick me up from college.

May 10th my parents took me to the ER and the hospital said that it looked like I had herpes and bacterial vaginosis to them. They took cultures and prescribed me vicodin, valtrex and clindamyicin.

May 11th I saw a gynecologist who also took a culture for herpes and took blood.

May 12th I noticed white clumping around my tonsils, which I figured to be strep throat. I called my gynecologist and she prescribed me something called the Z pack. I started taking it that day.

May 14th all of the cultures and blood that the hospital and my gynecologist took came back negative for any STDs or HSV1 or HSV 2.

May 15th I saw my dermatologist who guessed that it might be Behcet's. She prescribed me prednisone and a topical cream for the ulcers.

May 16th the genital ulcers disappeared before I even got the prescriptions filled. I still had white stuff around my tonsils and increased pain while swallowing and I was finished with my Zpack.

May 22nd I woke up and was covered in hives.  I started taking the prednisone this day after receiving a call from my dermatologist telling me it might help with the hives which may or may not be an allergic reaction to the clindamyacin I was on previously. I caved and saw my family physician about the throat this day as well. She prescribed me a ten day strep medication. The quick strep came back negative, I'm waiting on the results for the culture. My cheeks are very red and my ears ache but I'm not sure if that's relevant to anything.

A couple of things as far as background- I'm allergic to penicillin and sulphonamides, and I have had one previous incident with vaginal ulcers which my doctor thought was an allergic reaction to Bactrim that I was taking for acne, the incident lasted about three days compared to the eight that this last incident was. I had mononucleosis my fall semester of college. I only experienced the extreme fatigue.

Is any of this characteristic of Behcet's for those of you with symptoms? I'm scared, I'm only 19. Is there anything else that this could be? I have an appointment with a rheumatologist June 9th. I just need answers now.

I am not a help with Behcet's other than I know a lot of people are told they have herpes and do not.  However, you may want to go to the rare disease site on medhelp.  I believe Behcet's is known there and you may get some answers!  Hope all goes well for you! ~K
