TO HOT

I need some help. I had my thyroid removed in May and have done well on my dose of synthroid but my doctor checked my levels and said it was to high and increased my med. Now I feel like I'm on fire all the time and my heart is pounding and fluttering. My hair is falling out and I'm so tired but can't sleep.

I need help and my doctor won't listen.

Have you thought about a natural remedy? it’s not something you get at the health store it has to be prescribed it’s called Westhroid and it is FDA regulated, since your having so many problems you might be sensitive to the way the synthetic hormone is manufactured.
See if you can find a endocrinologist with a DO by his/her name they’re a little more open to natural remedies.

I had my thyroid removed last July (2009) due to thyroid cancer. I am on synthriod as well and recently experiencing the exact symptoms you put...tired, hair loss, sweating etc. I am dealing with an endocrinologist, and I feel your frustration with them not listening, and have heard to somewhat expect this from doctors.I was feeling great on the one dose and when I got tests done he said I was way too high. He put me on a lower dose (to.888 ) and that is when I began to feel not normal and symptoms started to arise.
I know it takes awhille for each dose to actually be in your system (6 weeks) and im trying to trust that is the case. I suggest waiting it out past 6 weeks and if you still are experiencing strong symptoms and the doctor will not listen.... change doctors! I know doctors only look at the numbers, but they need to listen to how you feel too..... its your body, you know what is not right!

Do you have your test results?  It sounds to me like you are now hyper-thyroid.  Those are classic hyper symptoms.  Sometimes it's hard to get a doctor to see what levels are best for YOU and not go strictly by the "normal range."  Have you discussed your symptoms with your doctor?  Is it an Endocrinologist or your regular doctor?
