Agonizing pain - ER doc calls this a lumbar strain injury

Can someone tell me if a lumbar strain can cause hip and leg pain that is so excruciating that it makes a person pass out?  That pain is only when standing or walking.  Sitting or reclining with legs extended is still painful but tolerable.  There is also severe pain on straight leg raises.

I have buldging disc at L4-5 and L3-4 and I have alot of pain in my hip and leg, I have problems at night sleeping because there is no way yo get comfortable. You need to have an MRI to rule out what is going on. I had an epidural and it helped. Good Luck and I hop you feel better.
