Back injury, looking for some answers

Hi, I am 30 and I injured my back due to the manual handling nature of my past job (lifting ALOT of boxes up 3 flights of stairs to the stockroom) I have been suffering from pain for over a year now, but the specialists seem to think that I should be fine by now.

On my 1st MRI scan it said I a posterolateral annular tear at l5-S1, and degenerative changes in the same place.
I recently got another MRI done because things were not improving, even after a lot of physio etc. This one outlined that I had a minor bulging disc at L4-L5 and L5-S1 which have caused minor encroachment on the exit foramina.

Really what I want to know is...recently I have been having severe pain in my left lower stomach, almost deed in my hip and it goes down into my groin. It also travels up my flank on my left side. I dont have it all the time but the other nigh I woke up in terrible pain! I also find that most mornings when I wake I have pain radiating from my hips up to my rib cage. I cannot even breathe in properly because of the pain, I have to lay there until it eases.

Are all these issues connected to my back problem? I have the normal symptoms of pain travelling down my bum into my knee etc, even not being able to breathe in in the morning has been ongoing...but the dull stabbing pain in my hip and groin is new. And it is on the left side, most of the pain iv been feeling until now has been on my right side.

Can anyone shed some light on this for me or has anyone had similar issues?
