Can a Back Rub Aggrevate the Back?

For about a month now,  I have been experiencing minor back aches due to sleeping in the wrong position.  At first,  the doctor mentioned that I may have a pinched nerve.  But,  it went away for a few weeks and I didn't make anything of it.  Today,  I recieved a back rub from my amazing masseuse when all of a sudden,  as he rubbed my neck and then down to my mid back,  I felt pain trickle down my arms.  Does this mean that he may have aggrevated that "pinched nerve"?

Now,  my arms are in pain and my back feels bad.  I always enjoy massages but this one hurt.

Any thoughts on this?

if the pain persists you might consider seeing a neurologist...a massage lead me to surgery in 2007.  An MRI will tell the story

We have very good health insurance yet it does not cover chiro visits.  Then again,  Ive never needed to go see one so it is not something that concerned me. Accupuncture is the direction that I will go because my mother knows someone who is the best in our city. Thanks.

Acupuncture may help. Really, Chiropractors are costly in your area? If you have health insurance it might pay for your visits.

Someone mentioned accupuncture. Would that help?  Im considering a chiro but it is a bit costly so I am trying to find other healings before resorting to that.  Thanks, Remar!

Yes, he could have aggravated the pinched nerve. Have you thought about seeing a Chiropractor for an adjustment?
