Can neck problems cause face sweating

I had significant neck degeneration and I wonder if this can cause a couple of odd symptoms that I have.   I have not been able to drive any sort of distance since I fall asleep at the wheel.  It can be any time of the day and not from being tired.   Also,  I keep getting these face and head sweats.  Can these problems be caused by neck degeneration?    I've had just about everything else checked medically and everthing comes out clean.

Hi,sorry to know your suffering and getting these face and head sweats,Clinically It's related to neck soft tissue injury. and this injury can affect "sensitive nervers" (a`kind of nerves)which control adjustment of sweat function.

So,hopeful you may find a good doc who knows about neck soft tissue injuries.
Good luck!

I had a car accident a month ago and had 4 cervical disks displaced.  Besides all the other symptoms like dizziness, numbness in the fingers, extreme fatigue, drowsiness,etc...last night, I started that excessive sweating especially in my neck, face and upper back.  Luckily, I see a chiropractor specialist in motor vehicule accident and the symptoms are relieved temporary when he radjust my cervical disks.  The chiro and physio I am seeing both tell me my neck muscles are out of whack and need to be reinforced to keep the cervical disks in place.  So I am hopeful you may find a good specialist who knows about neck injuries.

So good to hear of someone with simiar symptoms.  I too get the numbness in the fingers.    I've gone through a battery of tests including diabetes, thryroid, adrenal gland...you name it and all is fine.   I also went to a neurosergeon about the neck and he didn't seem to think anything about the falling asleep at the wheel was related.   Tomorrow I have an appointment with a specialist that deals with infectious diseases.   But....I still have a gut feeling its all about my neck and spinal spondiltis

Wow, I had to check this twice to make sure I hadn't posted it myself and forgotten!

I have identical symptoms and I can see how the neck and falling-asleep-everywhere thing might be connected - I fall asleep as soon as I sit down ANYWHERE and my head lolls forward and it causes pressure on my cervical discs.  I cannot drive either for the same reason.

I am awaiting a neurological examination because as well as disc degeneration (cervical spondylitis) I also have a painful shoulder and numbness in my hand and last two fingers.

I cannot sleep at night for the constant sweating and by day I have to change my clothes, have several showers etc.

I can't imagine that all three symptoms are related but certainly, sweating (especially of the face and head) and drowsiness are two key symptoms of diabetes.  I have already had that checked and I was borderline - I would advise you to do so too. I shall read your replies with interest!
