Caudal Injection

I recently had caudal injections done, 1st one had no problems, after the 2nd one done May 28th I feel like there is a tennis ball on my tailbone, every time I sit I have severe pain, and when I get up it feels like its releasing pressure but its more severe pain. Has anyone ever heard anything like this? had Xray done and they said it didnt show anything so I am having an MRI done tomorrow.

As I said, this is sometimes a consequence of epidural injections.

I hope the injury to tissue is temporary.

MD thinks that the injection somehow irritated the nerves surrounding the area. I have been doing ice and heat, it only provides minimal relief. Swimming therapy in warm water pool feels awesome, I have fibromyalgia, while in the pool ALL of my pain is decreased significantly until I get out. I'm going to go to the pool more often. Had MRI yesterday so we shall see what MD says, thank u for responding to my post.

Yes, many people have complications with spine injections, and xray would not show a thing.

The MRI may show something -- let's wait and see.

In the mean time, ice treatment might be appropriate. What did your docs say?
