So for 2 and a half months now I have been dealing with this lump about 2 inches left of my spine and 2 inches above my waistline.
I had initially injured my back and had terrible pain in my sciatica for about 2 and a half weeks I rested and took care of it as much as I could. I noticed the lump literally on day 2 and just assumed it was swollen area... or that my muscle was cramped up so bad from the injury.
The lump reduced alot to where I thought it had went away but as soon as I did anything physical at all it would inflame and the pain came back about 60%. I walked for the last month everyday... done simple exercises to the extent where they wouldn't cause pain in the area and still... it seems to come back. I recently just started riding my bike again and the pain is excruciating...
I do not have insurance.. and can't afford to be getting it removed.
I have read that with a tear in the muscle the lipoma can literally push through the area and stop it from ever healing properly just resulting to more injury and more lipoma...
There is very little information on the web about episacral lipoma's and would love ANY comments..
I guess I'm wondering...
Is this a permanent pain I'm going to have unless I get it removed? ( I can feel the pressure all day... anyway i sit.. lay.. move..)
If not, will strengthening the area help? ( Can this just make it worse?)
Also why am I seeing so many stories about doctors refusing the remove them and sending people to pain syndrome specialists?? I can assure the pain is very real and very hard to deal with.
It's a nonstop feeling of pressure that results in pain if I sit wrong.. bend a certain way... basically put any stress on my lower back I can feel the pain right under the lipoma.
