Cold laser treatment and Spinal decompression, is it cover by insurance? How about accupressure. I will be picking up my MRI film tomorrow and I will be seeing another doc this week. I need relief. I have been getting some temporary relief taking the Medrol however I have read all of the side effects. As always... thanx.
Your doctor is just plain wrong. Spinal decompression can be done at P.T. office or a chiro. The earliest treatments of spine problems were treated by traction at the hospital. Thats what chiros do best is manipulate the vertebrae in the neck and back. Google Medrol, all could find was it's a cancer drug, that might help inflamation. You need to find another doctor A.S.A.P.

The doctor put me on Medrol. When I mentioned to him about spinal decompression he told me that no reputalbe chiro will touch anything to do with the cervical vertebrates. Does anyone have any insight on this??
P.T. visit is usually last about a hour, about the same at a chiro's office. If you mean how many visits that depends on if it is helping or not. You should feel better in a few weeks. Keep us posted if you still have problems, during or after you treatment.

Thanx for your advise. How long are these treatments????
Yes, go have cervical decompression. You may actually reverse this if caught early enough. Ask your doctor for physical therapy where they have a cold laser machine. The therapist should have decompression but they may call it traction, same thing. If all that fails then try a chiropractor who has a decompression machine if your insurance allows, if not pay for it, try everything possible but do not ignore this or it can go sideways on you. Then if all that fails and you still have arm problems, back to the doctor you go.
