Long plane ride with pinched back nerve

after a few hours most of my pain symptoms are gone (or at least tolerable).

Here's my issue -- in two weeks I'm supposed to go on an overseas trip for work -- a 13 hour airplane flight followed by a 4 hour flight. I've been reading up on things you can do to tolerate a long flight. MY doctor has not told me that I CAN'T go n the trip.

I wonder if anyone here has flown on a long trip like this with a pinched nerve?

I might ad that prednisone causes deterioration of the vertebra over the long term, so this is not appropriate long-term therapy. For "one-time" use on a necessasry business trip there will by no lasting harm.

Have your physician prescribe oral prednisone. 20 mg - 30 mg, then taper down 10 mg per day.

This should solve your problem.
