I have severe Degenerative Disk disease at L5-S1 that my MD states need disk replacement. I had recent discogram that showed "severe pain" at L2-L3 and L3-L4 and moderate pain at L5-S1. My MD states he does not do multi-level fusions. My question is if I had a multi-level fusion, what are the success rates and is it safe AND could I have fusion at L2-L3, L3-L4 and since that is what is reproducing my pain and had a surgery in future to fix L5-S1??
Please help me - in pain 24 hours a day even with pain meds!
