Lower Back Pain Limited to the Right Side?

I lift weights regularly and recently my lower back started to hurt. I am not certain which lift hurt my back in the first place but the most pain comes from doing dead lifts and power cleans. It started as an uncomfortable pain a week before and pretty much went away other than a feeling of pressure by the end of the week. The next week when I power cleaned it started hurting really bad. I had to stop power clean and move to squat instead. The squat didn't hurt my back during the lift but as soon as I took my belt off I got a slight rush of pain.

The pain is ONLY on the right side of my lower back.
It stops hurting if I am sitting with a straight back after about 30 seconds.
It also stops hurting if I am standing for more than 30 seconds.
It begins to hurt when I slouch my back.
It hurts the closer I put my chest to my knees and it gets worse the farther I stretch.
If I stretch this way I get a very intense pain for about two seconds when I return to normal posture.
It also hurts if I lean to my right side when sitting. The pain is relieved if I lean to my right side.
Sometimes I can feel a dull pain in my right hip along with the lower back pain but nothing serious.

I have now had this pain for almost a week and is really starting to get annoying! Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

Lots of injuries can cause back pain like this. Ligament strains, muscle tears, even cracks in the bones of the back. Obviously you should stop doing the lifts that aggravate this for a few weeks and concentrate on other parts of the body and some aerobics for a while. Another type of injury is a ruptured disc. A ruptured disc can cause back pain but can also cause pain radiating down the leg, especially when you hold the leg straight out in front of you.

My back hurts right now on the left.  It is annoying and riding in the car makes me nauseated, even though it's more of a discomfort than severe pain.  Mine is in one of the dimples down by my sacrum.  I believe if the pain is there it means a particular muscle is pulled, so that's good news.  Check and see if you can put your thumb where the pain is and it's in a dimple in your back, sort of midway between the spine and the outside of your hip, several inches below your waist.

Most back pain goes away on its own in 6 weeks.  Reduce your activities, but don't stop walking.  Walking is the best thing you can do for your back.  Try sleeping in different positions and see if it helps.  Try soaking in a warm tub with Epsom salts.

When it feels better and you start back, go slow and stop if it hurts again.
