I was in a car accident 3 months a go .I was told that I had a fracture on my t-11. I just had a CT scan of the Cervical Spine,Thoracic spine,Chest and Abdomen. it says there is no acute fracture or malalignment. Disc spaces and vertebral body weights appear maintained. There are very mild,shallow,broad-based disc protrusions at C2-3 C3-4,C4-5 AND C5-6 with no appreciable canal or neural foraminal narrowing. The C6-C7-T1 levels are suboptimally evaluated due to limited tissue contrast within the spinal canal, although there is no appreciable or neural foraminal narrowing . Please help me understand what this means really Thank-you
Thanks. I actually looked at my MRI films last night and it is very clear where the disc "protrudes" and is pressing. If it is so clear to me the untrained eye, then where the hell do they come up with thier readings?
Mild disc protrusion almost same as disc herniated, but,It is a common misconception that neck pain always stems from the pressure of a slipped disc or a trapped nerve. This is misleading, the cause of neck pain is also inflammation stimulating nerves, causing the pain signal.most of neck pain like this.
So you should go and see reputable doctor for second opinion...
Good luck!
