Neck and left shouolder pain

Hi,
I hope that somebody can help me since I am getting very desparate and frustrated. Six months ago I started having shoulder pain that would go into my neck. It was worse with activity and work (typing) especially. My x-ray and neck MRI came back fine. Also, the x-ray of my entire back was fine too. However, I feel tingling in my arm and sometimes even goes down to my leg.
Recently I have been having pain in my hip too. This is always on my left side. I have done PT, massage therapy, accupuncture and have seen at least five different doctors. I took steroids for a week but that did not help. Now, I do not want to ask for any more. Maybe an EMG, shoulder MRI? I have a feeling that they are not taking me serously. I do not have any sharp pain, however prolonged sitting is worse than standing for example. It is mostly sore pain with some burning sensation. Heat helps but does not make it go away completely. Recently, about a week ago I started having slight tension and headaches as well on my left side.

I am a 33 year old male and I have had back problems for about 10 years now, and it sounds to me like you have a pinched nerve or a thinning disk in your spine.....I get pains in my hip area due to the disks putting pressure on the nerves in my spine, I also get a numbing of the upper part of the leg, depending on how I position it, and I have also had tingling in my fingers and leg!!.....sounds to me like you have more than one disk causing you problems, and when mine was really bad it was worse for me to sit than it was for me to stand!!....I also have neck and shoulder pain that is not unbearably painfull, but is nagging.....My advice to you, is to find a good chiropractor that knows what to look for....I dont know where you had your X-Rays done, or what doctors you went to, but I would definatlly have a chiropractor double check them!!!....I have one leg slightly shorther than the other due to muscle problems in my left leg and that puts alot of pressure on my back area including my shoulder and neck area, plus I am about 30 pounds over weight which dosent help.......You may need to have a hip X-Ray done to see if you are out of allignment!!.....If that is the case, then that is probably what most of your problem is stenting from, and maybe just doing simple leg streching exercizes along with chiropractic care may fix your problems!!....Anyway, I hope you get feeling better and I hope that this may help you.....I have suffered with it on and off for 10 years now, so I feel for you!!

one more note,

It really sounds to me like you have an irritated sciatic nerve, from what I have read!!!....and that will cause all of your symptoms!!!....the only solution to that, is to have spinal adjustments done by a chiropractor to relieve the pressure.....dont get frustrated because it may take a few months after the treatments start, to get it back to normal...but it should eventually get better!!!
