Sharp Upper Back Pain Breathing/Moving/Lifting

I'm a female (15) and I woke up today with an awful pain in the upper left of my back. A couple nights ago I strained one of my muscles near my kidneys (however this occurred in my right side). I've been breathing shallowly since last week coming back from the flu and this back pain has made it difficult to breathe. I couldn't even carry my backpack because it would cause intense pain to shoot through my left shoulder and even just standing caused my left side of my back to hurt. Inhaling while walking caused me to feel like something had stabbed me in my lungs and laying down, going up stairs, bending over, and even just turning hurt to the point I began to cry. I got my back adjusted by a chiropractor a few hours ago but nothing has helped me. Please help!
