Thanks, I just think since a lot of us have already been through this medical stuff, least we can do is help some of the ones that haven't.

I thank you both for your comments.I have been having injections now every other month for 3 years. Its not that I am planning a surgery anytime soon. I just want to know what the options are when it happens. I want to commend you Kalvin for all the time and knowledge  you put into the forum.

so far it's going well. its been 1 month 9 days since my surgery, and im getting around ok. the pain down my leg has gone away, the only pain i get is where the disc is. they expect that pain to be there for 6 months.  i start physical therepy soon. ill let you know how that goes. i looked online for the lifespan of the disc, there seems to be alot of mixed anwsers on the disc. but im sure im going to have another surgery down the road since im only 29.

Planning on having back surgery soon, that's got to be a load on the mind? Suppose you've tried all the conservative stuff. Let us know what you decide and when you're going to have it, so we can you wish luck.

Please keep us informed on how you are doing. I am seriously considering the replacement myself as I want to think it is a better option.

You're going to have to look to Europe for long term studies on these things, they haven't been doing them long enough here to have any idea how long their going to last.

Although from what I've read, they do hold up reasonably well and supposedly, there's less chance of adjacent segment disease.
