do discs degenerate quicker in some or is this an injury popping up?

Im 28/male/sedentary-I was in an accident (rear ended by an 18-wheeler)about 2 years ago and had herniated discs at c3-c4, c4-c5, c5-c6. I had ACDF at c4-c5 and c5-c6.

I woke up yesterday with a stiff back and numbness on the back of my right thigh, in my right toes, , back of right calf and in my groin. My doctors guess is a herniated lower back disc

Is this probably something from my accident or do i just have abnormally quick disc degeneration.

I went to the ER last weekend cause after a period of prolonged sitting my legs and groin started to get worse. They gave me a top to bottom MRI (cervical, thoracic and lumbar).  They said they were all normal mostly.  he neurologist said its possible I have IDD in one of my lower back discs but no significant herniations.

Thanks

You don't mention if they did MRI's of your lumbar area at the time of your accident.  Any time you have your spine fused,at least what I have been able to find out by reading, you are in danger of other portions of your spine being injured or deteriorating at a later date. Your body and muscles have to move in different ways then they did originally, to compensate for parts of the spine not moving at all.
That said, you could have picked up something wrong, causing this pain. Are you having an MRI for this problem?  More info please!
