I had my left side done 3 days ago with the RFA. I am in horrible pain in areas which never hurt prior to the procedure. My left buttock feels like someone is taking a very large and sharp knife and repeatedly stabbing me and now my left thigh only on the front side is painful almost like a spasm constantly. I go back in 2 days to have the right side done and am so afraid that I will have double the pain. I am anxious to ask the doc if this is normal to hurt in different areas than what I normally had. Granite my low back doesn't hurt but maybe it is because my bottom and thigh hurt so bad I can't feel the back pain. I was not given any sedation for the procedure at all. It was uncomfortable at times but tolerable. The worst was stimulating the muscle to spasm because they do not want you to move and it is a natural thing to jump at an involuntary spasm.
Radio-Frequency ablation. It works.
