lower back pain

MRI what does it mean, mild bdoad based disc herniation extending about 3.9mm posteriorly, indenting the anterior aspect of the thecAl sac. No centrl canal stenosis or nerve root displacement. coupled with hyper trophic degenerative facet change, there is some lateral recess narrowing, right greatr than left. mild left neural foraminal narrowing, secondary to bulging disc and facet degeneration and mild to moderate medial neural foraminal narrowing on the right. apperance similiar.also, there is an approximate 6mm meningeal cyst associated with right sacral s2-s3 nerve roots behind the second sacral segment, unchanged. WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

You need to post in the other forum area to pose a a question to a doctor.
They charge a minimal amount for that.

That said, why did you have the MRI done?
What kind of pain might you be having?

If you have not seen a spinal/back surgeon he/she is the best to evaluate. But make sure you bring the MRI films, not only the radiologist's report. I have founf those surgeons are more adept at reading and interpreting the films.

Good Luck
