tingling thigh from pinched nerve?

Ive had a tingling in my quadricep and spams in my muscles surrounding my knee for about a week now.  My leg isnt numb and it isnt painful, it just tingles to the point of being uncomfortable.  It doesnt last all day, and I am not exhibiting symptoms of a stroke.  it is odd though, and from what I read is usually a pinched nerve, compressed disc or inflammation. anyone else having or had this before?

Clinical examination is the most important tool for pinched nerve in a leg, and if necessary a nerve test called an EMG can provide additional details.
