I am looking for options other then surgery for annular tear

I have had an ongoing back issue with my lower back. 4 years ago had siatica and buldging discs which did a few rounds of steroid type epidural injections. Temporary fix if anything. I delt with it being stubborn but now it has just gotten so much worse and affecting my quality of life. Can’t sit, stand, sleep, lay down, walk very far with our having pain. After mri was told have the annular tear and fusion of the disc is possible but wanted me to research it a bit. Some surgery’s work great (tiger woods) and others do not and end up at square one again. Looking for other outside the box options besides yoga losing weight and stretching and also who else had similar issues and what they did to help/fix the ongoing painful back pain.

Hello and welcome to the forum. Sorry you are in pain and having to research this.  It's hard to live with pain and we're sorry you've had to deal with this.  One thing to look into and ask  your doctor about is the potential to use laser technology to seal the annular tear.  This is a less invasive option to consider.  Working with a physical therapist can also provide a lot of help.  Give us an update since a couple of weeks have past since you wrote this.
