Lateral abdominal atrophy

I had a CT scan of my abdomen and it showed atrophy of the lateral abdominal muscle on my left side. The doctor didn’t have any answers as to what was causing it. I’ve never had any severe back or spinal issues. Has any one ever hear of such at thing happening? Or know a way to reverse it?

Hi there.  That's unfortunate!  Do you know why the muscles are atrophied?  In general, most people can reverse that at least to some extent if not more.  https://www.healthline.com/health/muscle-atrophy

Oh, and now I'm thinking.  Do you have neck and head issues/spinal pain due to this?  So by not doing sit ups and such I've possibly added to my neck pain?  Ugh.  Hadn't really ever correlated that.
