Recently had MRI with these results -
At L4-L5 level, there is disc desiccation, disc space narrowing, mild disc bulge and facet hypertrophy with bilateral foraminal stenonis.
At the L5-SI level, there is disc dessication with moderate disc space narrowing. Grade 1 anterior spondylolisthesis, disc bulge and facet hypertrophy with bilateral foraminal stenosis. There is a small left paracentral focal disc protrusion at this level, which contacts the S1 nerve root.
I have tremendous pain in right hip down to ankle. Haven't been able to sleep in a bed for six weeks. Sitting upright is the most comfortable position. My doc is recommending a pain specialist for epidural injections.
Can anyone give me some insight on exactly what the MRI results mean?
Thanks
